The Insurance Industry’s Sucker Punch Approach
Since I told you you’re at war with the other person’s insurance company, it’s reasonable to assume that the other person’s insurance company will take a war-like posture when dealing with you. Right? Wrong! The insurance company takes the opposite approach in hopes of disarming you to either severely damage or completely destroyed your claim. Why this approach? Because it works. Think about it. If you see someone approaching you in an aggressive manner, and that person is winding up to take a swing at you, you’re more likely to defend yourself and either avoid or minimize the harm that person intends to do. On the other hand, if that same person approaches you from behind, taps you on the shoulder, and as you turn to see who it is, that person sucker punches you in the face, you’re less likely to be able to defend yourself and avoid or minimize the harm that person intends to do. That’s what the other person’s insurance company does. It doesn’t want you to see it coming, and then tries to sucker punch you in the face. It’s what I call, “The Insurance Industry’s Sucker Punch Approach,” in an effort to either destroy or severely damage your claim.
