Executor Could Have to Pay if it’s Not Done Right

That’s right.  If it’s not done right, you, the executor, could be personally liable.  In total, you may have to do 78 tasks to complete the process.  Not something that you should try on your own.  If you’re not an attorney, or for that matter, an experienced estate and probate administration attorney, what’s the likelihood it’ll be done right?  The best you can do as the executor is hire an experienced estate and probate administration attorney, and not over pay.  To do your part, keep the “check-the-box” list handy, refer to it from time to time, and make sure that your lawyer isn’t missing anything.
